ABOUT
Mission
Donate a bike—change a life.
We collect, repair, and redistribute bikes so every kid and family in the Columbia Gorge can ride.
Vision
A Columbia Gorge where every child has a bike, every family feels confident riding, and biking is a joyful, everyday part of life.
Story
Bike Buddies started with one kid, one idea, and one simple question:
What if every child had a bike?
What began in a garage has grown into a community-powered movement. Over the past decade, more than 1,500 bikes have been donated, repaired, and placed into the hands of local kids and families.
Along the way, volunteers, partners, and supporters have turned a small service project into something much bigger—opening doors to independence, confidence, and connection through biking.
Our Next Chapter
As the organization grows, so does its leadership.
Bike Buddies is now led by:
Kyle Ramey
Megan Ramey
Howard Cohen
This team has been behind the scenes for years—fixing bikes, organizing donations, and building partnerships. Now, they’re guiding Bike Buddies into its next chapter with the same grassroots spirit.
Founder Anson remains part of the organization as a member of the Board of Directors while continuing his studies abroad. His original spark continues to power the work today.
